Element Group will become a technological partner of Vietnam's microelectronics development program

At the Hanoi Investment Promotion Conference, MERI (part of the Element Group of Companies, MOEX:ELMT) signed a multilateral Memorandum of Cooperation with the Hanoi City People's Committee, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), and the Vietnamese corporations G-Group and National Security Technology (NST).

As part of the agreement MERI will work on issues of technological partnership, personnel training, joint research, and provide expert the Hanoi City People's Committee People's Committee will provide administrative support and assistance in building the ecosystem. HUST will serve as an educational and research base for training industry specialists. G-Group will promote the attraction of resources to Vietnam’s microelectronics ecosystem. NST will focus on the implementation of solutions related to information security.

The parties plan to develop cooperation in various fields, from conducting scientific research to creating commercial products. Special attention will be paid to engineering training programs in accordance with market demands. It is also planned to consider the prospects for transferring Russian technologies in the field of micro- and nano-electronics and creating secure microelectronic solutions.

At the ASEAN summit in June, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the importance of the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership during a meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Tho. The microelectronics industry could be one of the ways to strengthen bilateral relations. The agreement between MERI and our Vietnamese partners lays a solid foundation for future mutually beneficial projects. It was signed as part of the Hanoi Investment Promotion Conference, which presented the concept of Hanoi's "century-long development." This long-term vision opens up opportunities for the creation and application of new technologies for the development of both countries," said Alexander Kravtsov, Director General of MERI.
