Molecular Electronics Research Institute and Komita Innotech Company signed a cooperation agreement

Scientific Research Institute of Precision Mechanics (part of the Element Group of Companies, MOEX:ELMT) and Komita Innotech Company (part of the "Komita" group of companies) have established a partnership. It develops joint solutions that ensure the protection of transmitted data in the implementation of industrial Internet of Things technologies at infrastructure facilities in the oil and gas industry and transport.

The increase in the number of external threats of interception and distortion of information requires enhanced control measures at the hardware level. Industrial Internet of Things technology implies both hierarchical and network-centric models of data exchange, so guaranteed data protection must be ensured not only for data transmission to control centers but also for machine-to-machine communication. It is precisely this opportunity that is provided by the electronic components created by MERI.

In creating its products Komita Innotech Company focuses on maximizing the use of the Russian component base. In this regard parties agreed on the terms of participation of Komita Innotech Company in the development of products using the information cryptographic protection tool - the NE51IOT microchip. The microchip received a positive conclusion from the Federal Security Service of Russia under with protection level 3 and complies with the requirements in terms of protection against engineering intrusion and requirements for an electronic signature. Such protection classes are especially important, as many objects that need to be equipped with monitoring systems are located in remote areas and outside controlled zones.

The parties will study the compatibility of solutions when creating hardware security modules and trusted hardware-software complexes in accordance with the requirements of the Russian Government Resolution No. 1912 dated November 14, 2023, and will also exchange information on ensuring cryptographic protection of communication channels.

The agreement was signed by Alexander Kravtsov (General Director of MERI) and Alexey Danshin (General Director of Komita Innotech Company).
