Scientific seminar "Neuromorphic systems and its’ implementations" was held at MERI

January 24 a scientific seminar "Neuromorphic systems and its’ implementations" was held at the Molecular Electronics Research Institute (MERI) under the guidance of a member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), academician G. Krasnikov.
More than 60 scientists from academic institutes, research centers and colleges took part in the seminar: Molecular Electronics Research Institute, Institute of Physics and Technology of RAS,  Institute of Microelectronics Technology and High Purity Materials of RAS, Institute of Solid State Physics of RAS, National Research Center «Kurchatov Institute», Scientific Research Institute of System Analysis of RAS, Institute of Superhigh-Frequency Semiconductor Electronics of RAS, Institute of Software Systems of RAS named after A.K. Ailamazyan, Institute of Radio-engineering and Electronics of RAS, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University), National Research University of Electronic Technology, Electro Technical University "LETI", The National University of Science and Technology "MISiS", Lobachevsky State University (Nizhni Novgorod) and others.
In his opening speech G. Krasnikov stressed the growing importance of microelectronics to ensure national security and technological independence of the state mentioned that issues related to the development of electronics are considered today at the highest state level: "Today we want to look at the state of affairs in the study and construction of neuromorphic systems: what are the developments and prospects development of this direction that can be envisaged in the framework of the MERI Consortium "Perspective materials and the electronic components for information and computing systems ". Mr. Krasnikov also noted that the seminar is being held within the framework of the RAS scientific council "Fundamental Problems of the Elemental Database of Information Computing and Control Systems and Materials for its Creation", formed on the basis of two scientific councils: “Council for nanotechnology, quantum computers and materials for microsystem technology” and “Council for the physicochemical foundations of semiconductor materials science".
