Molecular Electronics Research Institute is the largest research microelectronics center in Russia and CIS.
MERI was founded in 1964 and is today the Russian largest independent research and innovation center for microelectronics and AI technology. In the late 1980s, MERI designed and manufactured electronic components for the Buran spacecraft and supplied integrated circuits for the Mars-Venus program. In the early 2000s, MERI collaborated with foreign companies to use technology transfer for assembling crystals. Today as the chip lab of Russia, MERI drives the advancements that power most cutting-edge technology.
MERI combines technology development, scientific research, engineering services and educational programs for the microelectronics industry.
CMOS, non-volatile memory, integrated photonics, 3D assembly, materials, equipment and AI technologies.
→Fundamental research, scientific councils, industry forums, young scientists programs and scientific publications.
→Prototyping, testing, design, software development, IP blocks and engineering support for microelectronic projects.
→University departments, remote training, educational programs, competency development and cooperation with universities.
→MERI’s work is focused on creating a technological base for modern electronic components, supporting industrial projects and developing competencies in key areas of microelectronics.
